What will I get out of it?

As well as learning about the humanitarian sector, this is an excellent opportunity to build on your own communication, leadership and problem-solving skills. This will be an immersive experience where you will experience first-hand the challenges facing some of the most marginalised communities in Nepal and our work with them. The country is also hugely popular with tourists so we highly recommend you travel around!

If you are willing to go out of your comfort zone, up for a challenge and want to contribute towards positive change while learning new skills, forging friendships and exploring a new culture then get in touch! No qualifications necessary but we need positive and flexible individuals who are up for a challenge!

The Role

Street Child opened the Brick Factory School in January 2017 for children of factory workers who seasonally migrate to the area. Our school allows about a hundred children to remain engaged in education while their parents make bricks. We have also built gender sensitive WASH facilities but implementing best practices is key to improving health and boosting attendance in classes. This is where we need you!

Together with our amazing local team, you will work to promote health and hygiene best practices in this community of about five hundred. By conducting interactive healthcare workshops for both parents and children, you will be contributing towards our longer term goal of providing a safe, healthy and comfortable environment for them to thrive.
