Sierra Leone support crew 2018

Overview

We are looking for adventurous individuals to take a front line role in delivering the legendary Sierra Leone Marathon 2019!

Dubbed “the world’s most worthwhile marathon” and Street Child’s flagship fundraising event, it has raised over £1.4 million to support children into school. On Sunday 26th May 2019 we will host the eighth annual Sierra Leone Marathon and we want you to be a part of making this the most successful one to date…

The Sierra Leone Marathon is not just a one-day affair, but a five day adventure through Sierra Leone. Successful applicants will work closely with the Race Director, Project Coordinator and Street Child staff to coordinate the week, which includes project visits and workshops for the international runners, marathon day and the final beach trip. We are recruiting for a number of distinct volunteer roles that will be split between the operational aspects of the event, including accommodation, transport, project visits and in-country marketing.

This role is guaranteed to be busy and varied, and is a great opportunity to offer real value to the team whilst gaining valuable experience in project management, event planning and International Development. There is also the opportunity to shape your own experience according to your skills, knowledge and goals.

For more information on the event itself, head over to the Sierra Leone Marathon website.
